Fountain Hills is surrounded by reservation land which allows for long breathtaking views of the desert.
Fountain Hills boasts Frisbee golf and 4 golf courses located within the town; Desert Canyon, Eagle Mountain, Sunridge Canyon, and Firerock Country Club. We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, one of the highest ranked golf courses in the country, is located a few miles outside of town at the Fort McDowell Resort & Casino.
Fountain Hills is serious about the arts, whether it be the theater or galleries – the town hosts 3 large art festivals each year; a local art fair, the Fountain Hills Great Fair and Thunderbird Artists’ Fountain Hills Fine Art & Wine Affaire. Fountain Hills has one of the largest public art collections with close to 100 pieces on display throughout the town. Fountain Hills Theater is a popular destination for residents of any age.
Did you know that Fountain Hills hosts the ONLY Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in the state of Arizona? I was lucky enough to see this in action!
